When fireworks are banned in Colorado, the mayor has to figure out what to do to have an impressive 4th of July display. She decides to commission the largest snake every built, but when it’s finally lit, it does not stop growing. In fact, it grows around the country, destroying everything in its path: including some Mormons getting baptized in a Utah river. Only Ned and Jimbo returning from Mexico with some real fireworks can sufficiently blow up the snake and stop its path of destruction. God Bless America.
This is a silly episode that lacks some of the usual social commentary of South Park. But, hey – it was the second season. Cut ‘em some slack.
