The fourth season of South Park is totally solid and this episode certainly contributes to its excellence. When Kyle’s parents renege on an offer about going to a concert, Cartman tells him that it’s not so hard to get rid of the parents: just call the police and use the ‘m’ word, molestered. When all of South Park’s children follow suit, they end up ruling the town.
In only ten days they turn into tribal savages, sacrificing a child every night to a statue of John Elway based on a twisted game of who has whose book. This episode plays nicely with the ideas of mythology and how it is created, particularly when Stan tells the story of the birth-givers and the long long ago while we see images carved on the walls.
