Why, yes, Towelie, thank you for asking. I do want to get high. But I don’t want to have my game consoles stolen by covert government agencies and then have to chase them down. Indeed, that’s the plot of this episode. Funny enough, throughout the entire thing, the boys don’t actually want to be on their awesome adventure but rather, doing comparable things through a videogame.
It’s my understanding that Parker and Stone set out to create the stupidest and most worthless character possible – a stoner towel – and ended up with one of their most popular creations. Towelie is, after all, totally awesome and now an important part of South Park mythology.
